Description
White Aparajita (Clitoria Ternatea) – Plant
The White Aparajita (Clitoria ternatea ‘Alba’), also known as the white butterfly pea or Asian pigeonwing, enchants with its easy-going demeanor and exquisite white blossoms. It shares kinship with the more common Blue Aprajita, gracing gardens with elegance.
The pure white blooms of this plant frequently have a little faint yellow hue in the middle. Resembling its blue counterpart, these trumpet-shaped flowers typically measure 2-3 inches in diameter.
This plant blooms year-round, attracting butterflies, bees and other pollinators to your garden. The plant has lush green, compound leaves with three leaflets arranged alternately along the stems.
Caring Tips:-
- Light: The plant should be placed where it will receive bright, indirect sunlight.
- Watering: Water the plant when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch, ensuring it’s not overwater.
- Soil: Use well-draining potting soil to prevent waterlogging, as the plant prefers slightly moist but not soggy soil.
- Temperature: Keep the plant in temperatures between. It’s sensitive to cold temperatures, so protect it from drafts.
- Fertilization: Feed the plant with a balanced liquid fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring and summer).
- Pruning: Trim back leggy growth to encourage bushier growth and remove any dead or yellowing leaves.
