The Homalomena Rubescens will brighten any room position in a medium filtered light position, if your plant receives too much direct light it will scorch the foliage.

The Homalomena prefers moist soil but doesn’t like standing in water or to be dry. But if the foliage starts to yellow the soil is too dry and low humidity will cause browning along the edges of the leaf.

LIGHT- Your Homalomena Rubescens likes bright indirect light. They can tolerate lower light, but growth may slow significantly. If kept in direct sunlight, the foliage may burn.
WATER- Allow the top 50% of the soil of your Homalomena to dry out between watering. They do not like soggy soil but also do not like to dry out for extended periods of time.
HUMIDITY- Your Homalomena will do well in average household humidity, but will appreciate added humidity from misting or adding a humidifier nearby.
TEMPERATURE- Your Homalomena is sensitive to temperatures below 65 degrees. Keep it in an area with temperatures between 65-85 degrees.

Additional Care
